The Reserve Branch is affiliated with Guangzhou Grain Group Co., Ltd. It serves as a core enterprise in the state's grain reserves in Guangzhou. The company is dedicated to supporting the national food security plan. It strives to establish a modern policy reserve system that encompasses raw grain, finished grain, edible oil, sugar, and military grain. This effort strengthens the foundation of the "Guangzhou Granary" and ensures the food security of Guangzhou.

The company owns the province's first batch of 4A-level grain depots, including the Nansha Grain Depot, which is equipped with advanced storage facilities and intelligent management systems. It also operates four 3A-level specialized grain reserve warehouses: Haizhu Grain Depot, Dalang Grain Depot, Jiangcun Grain Depot, and Xiwang Grain Depot, as well as the Nanjiu Oil Depot, a specialized oil reserve depot. The company's grain depots feature a diversified warehouse system, which includes silos, shallow silos, building warehouses, bungalow warehouses, low-temperature warehouses, and mixed warehouses. Each warehouse type is outfitted with automated equipment and facilities that meet the four-in-one grain storage technology and smart grain depot construction standards. It actively promotes the application of green grain preservation technologies, such as nitrogen flushing for gas regulation, low-temperature grain storage, and inert powder.  

With a total storage capacity of 559,000 tons, the company handles more than a quarter of Guangzhou's grain and oil reserve tasks. It is equipped with four thousand-ton grain-specific berths and one dedicated railway line, with an annual throughput of 1.8 million tons.  The company's quality inspection department spans nearly 447 square meters. It leads the industry in testing capabilities across Guangzhou and even Guangdong. The department houses 4 laboratories with various functions and is equipped with more than 50 sets of advanced scientific research and testing equipment. It can independently conduct inspections and tests for conventional physical and chemical indicators of reserve grain, as well as food safety indicators. In addition, it can conduct scientific research, including technology development, pilot testing, and other testing. Each grain and oil warehouse is simultaneously equipped with a grain and oil laboratory to ensure that reserve grain meets national quality and food safety standards.
